Senior Paralegal - ADMIN SUPPORT
Job Location: Minneapolis, MN Job Type: Full Time Department: ADMIN SUPPORT
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Draft, review, proof and negotiate various agreements and amendments to agreements, including confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, trademark license agreements, staffing and recuiting agreements, supplier agreements, technology licenses and subscriptions, and agency agreements. Under the supervision of an attorney, provide legal guidance to business clients on questions involving in-place agreements. Assist attorneys and business clients with issues and general business/legal questions, including review of Company label claims and other marketing materials to ensure compliance with FTC and FDA rules and guidelines. Conduct and review trademark searches in U.S. and International databases. Prepare and assist in the prosecution of trademark applications and communicate with the Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) and Companys foreign trademark associates. Maintain Companys trademark portfolio under attorney supervision Be responsible for independent project management and client partnership. Develop and implement best practices and process improvements relating to managing contracts. Be the first point of contact for select client groups. Research and analyze law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes. Assemble documents and prepare draft responses to discovery requests, subpoenas, and other litigation or regulatory requests as necessary. Maintain all corporate records. Manages and assists in day-to-day activities for the attorneys as matters arise. Provide administrative support for legal department. Manage various legal department projects and initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS Ability to prioritize and handle competing demands in a high-volume, fast-paced work environment. Ability to communicate effectively with outside attorneys, senior management, and Company associates. Ability to learn new substantive areas of support as outlined in the duties Ability to analyze, synthesize and manage complex information Proven problem solving and critical thinking skills Stong verbal and written communication skills. Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Power Point.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate degree in paralegal studies or equivalent experience. 10+ years of experience working as a paralegal. Experience working in an in-house legal department is a plus. Significant experience in drafting contracts and complex agreements. Experience with litigation, advertising, trademarks and/or corporate governance law is helpful, but not required.
